World Wellbeing Week has been taking place this week across the globe. Wellbeing has never been more important than it is today, so World Wellbeing Week is the perfect opportunity for us to celebrate the many aspects of wellbeing, from meaningful, purposeful work to financial security, physical, mental and emotional health, community relations and care for the environment. This week is an opportunity for employers to show their appreciation for valued employees, customers, partners and suppliers✨

Over the last few years, the pandemic has revealed how we can cope with unexpected change, with people adapting mentally and physically all over the world. However, with this new found resilience came impacts on the wellbeing of many people, which has made “wellbeing” a common topic for discussion✨
An increasing number of businesses are beginning to embrace wellbeing as a strategic priority, which can result in notable improvements in employee satisfaction and productivity. When an employee’s wellbeing is protected, they are more likely to be aware of the wellbeing of others which impacts positively on workplace morale and culture. Protecting employee’s wellbeing and mental health has been covered by some of our previous posts on Turnstone Management Systems’ social media and website – check them out✨

Here are some Ideas for Celebrating World Wellbeing Week in your Organisation🌸💐:
- Organise a wellbeing activity each day this week – Organising some activities during World Wellbeing Week is a great way to involve employees in a positive wellbeing culture and show them that the organisation cares for their wellbeing. Some ideas for simple wellbeing activities are; offering free fruit for employees to have during the working day, encouraging a short walk during lunch breaks, invite a health coach in to deliver a presentation, offer a cooking demo for healthy meals, or arranging conversation circles for employees to come together to socialise.
- Learn more – World Wellbeing Week is the perfect time for employers to learn more about how to look after wellbeing. This allows employers to monitor the wellbeing of employees and always consider how they can improve the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of their employees while at work.
- Talk to your colleagues about wellbeing – Opening up conversations about wellbeing in the workplace is a great way to celebrate World Wellbeing Week with colleagues. This week is a perfect time to check on your colleagues and loved ones, or speak to someone else about your own mental health.
- Issue a wellbeing communication – Employers can share information with their workforce about the support available within the organisation for wellbeing. This can be done through a circular email, posters, videos or powerpoints, to inform employees that they can raise concerns or suggest improvements to wellbeing within the workplace.
- Share your thoughts – Use social media to spread the word about wellbeing week, to reach a wider audience including your suppliers and customers. This is a great way to show that your organisation prioritises wellbeing, making you an attractive employer! Use #worldwellbeingweek
